This narrated 55 minute in-depth x-ray informational and training video illustrates the relationship of the bones to the X-Ray views and the purpose, naming each one being studied prior to each standard foot and ankle projection.

Emphasis is placed on radiation safety for patient and technician, positioning of patient, cassette, and name plate. Highlighting for tube angle, collimation, mA, kVP and exposure time, with special attention for partial and non-weight bearing projections.

 

MANUAL OF BASIC X-RAY TECHNIQUES FOR PODIATRY

This 50 page manual has actual photographs showing weight and non-weight positions of the foot and ankle and is spiral bound to lay flat for study. An outline type format is used for ease in memorizing steps to eliminate common errors and standardize x-ray procedures. Safety notes, diagrams, charts and suggestions are included for information.
